We’re looking for an experienced SQL Developer to join a fast-moving data team on a 6-month contract. This is a fully remote role, working on the design and delivery of scalable, high-performance reporting solutions within a modern cloud data platform.
A key focus of this role is migrating existing SQL Server stored procedures into BigQuery, so hands‑on BigQuery experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and build robust reporting solutions using SQL Server
* Develop, optimise, and maintain complex T‑SQL queries and stored procedures
* Lead the migration of SQL Server stored procedures into BigQuery
* Ensure data accuracy, scalability, and performance across reporting outputs
* Work closely with data engineers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
* Strong, hands‑on experience with T‑SQL and SQL Server
* Strong, practical experience with Google BigQuery (this is essential for the role)
* Experience migrating or working within cloud data platforms
* Strong SQL performance tuning and query optimisation skills
* Ability to work independently in a fully remote, contract environment
