JOB TITLE: Communications & Marketing Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. This communications and marketing specialist will be highly motivated and conscientious, energised by the opportunity to work across the full spectrum of marketing and communications.

3. Taking an active role in the development of Petrofac’s communications and marketing strategy, management of plans and global channel development with a ‘digital-first’ mindset
4. Seeking out and driving impactful storytelling, creating written content and material that brings our priorities and story to life
5. Taking ownership of the delivery of own and team’s objectives or tasks
6. Managing project costs, resources and stakeholder engagement
7. Driving delivery of a robust external relations service which protects and enhances the company’s reputation, and playing a key role in emergency response preparedness
8. Translating our purpose, values and wider priorities meaningfully into inspiring internal communications campaigns and materials that educate and engage our people
9. Creating compelling Business Development (BD) and marketing collateral and high-quality input for key regional BD pursuits including bid material and case studies
10. Working collaboratively with our Support Services team to deliver exhibition, sponsorship and conference programmes – supporting creative realisation, brand and service line positioning, content and outreach
11. Leading relationships with agencies and other third parties, championing consistency and accurate implementation of the Petrofac brand
12. Building a strong network with colleagues across all businesses, functions and regions
13. Providing line management (as appropriate), direction, mentoring and guidance to other team members

18. Benchmarking of communications best practice, resulting in recommendations to design programmes and content that drive tangible and measurable improvement in employee and wider stakeholder engagement
19. Confidence and ability to manage live reputational considerations and communications tactics in a fast-paced environment
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
20. Proven track record for managing and implementing B2B marketing programmes successfully and with demonstrable results, ideally with energy sector experience
21. Solid, up-to-date awareness of energy industry themes and challenges and associated experience
22. Experience and robust understanding of the in-house communications environment, including media relations and emergency response
23. Experienced in advising, collaborating with and influencing senior stakeholders
24. People management experience with ability to engage at all levels
25. Excellent knowledge of communication and marketing methods and channels including print, online, email, media, social media, webinars, blogs, events and speaking engagements
26. Experience of supporting business development activities
27. Aware of and adhere to the legal (and/or best practice and ethical) standards for marketing activities including advertising standards, opt out and data protection legislation
28. Strong attention to detail with impeccable writing and editing skills, proven across a variety of formats and media is essential for the role
29. Curious mindset, journalistic approach and a real appetite for finding and telling great stories across all media types
30. Ability to take complex, technical topics and turn them into meaningful, persuasive content
31. Clear marketing skills with ability to translate services and differentiators to align to the needs of each market or client
32. A resilient self-starter, with exceptional people skills, and strong oral communication skills
33. Strong relationship builder and influencer with ability to engage stakeholders successfully and contribute to constructive internal challenge where required
34. Able to quickly build credibility and hold the position of trusted internal advisor and establish relevant external networks
35. Highly tuned judgement, ability to spot potential challenges before they arise and advise stakeholders
36. Highly organised with exceptional project management skills, able to prioritise a varied and demanding workload in a fast-paced environment
37. Solid IT and digital communications skills
38. Support and empower people through coaching, mentoring, constructive feedback and sharing knowledge and expertise
39. Willingness to travel to Petrofac offices and key projects – which may include the US, Africa, Malaysia and Australia
