We’re looking for a Data & Research Analyst to join our European Strategy Team at Cox Automotive — a role where your insights will directly shape strategic decisions, investments, and the future growth of our business across the UK and Continental Europe.

Cox Automotive Europe is operating in one of our most exciting growth regions. You’ll sit at the heart of our International Strategy function, supporting leaders with the insights they need to grow, innovate, and invest wisely.
This is a role with real visibility and influence — from analysing markets and competitors, to supporting business cases, performance tracking, and long‑term strategic planning. You’ll collaborate across functions, countries, and time zones, gaining exposure to how a global organisation makes big decisions.
What you’ll be doing
Market & Competitive Insight
* Research automotive, mobility, remarketing, digital marketplace and technology trends across Europe
* Build and maintain competitor profiles, market sizing models and profit pool analyses
* Translate complex research into clear, insightful briefings and presentations for senior stakeholders
Data Analysis & Strategy Support
* Analyse internal and external datasets to support strategy, annual planning and market assessments
* Contribute to strategic recommendations on growth, investment and optimisation opportunities
* Build financial models, sensitivity analyses and benchmarks to inform key decisions
Performance Tracking & Reporting
* Develop dashboards, KPIs and tracking tools — including contributions to the Corporate Scorecard
* Monitor progress of strategic initiatives and highlight risks and opportunities
Collaboration & Influence
* Work closely with colleagues across Strategy, Marketing, Insights and other functions
* Support workshops, deep dives and ad‑hoc strategic projects with robust analysis and insight
What we’re looking for
You don’t need to tick every box — curiosity, analytical thinking and a desire to learn matter just as much as experience.
You’ll likely bring:
* 2+ years’ experience in data analysis, research, strategy, consulting, or a related field
* Strong analytical skills with excellent Excel and data manipulation capability
* Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker (highly beneficial)
* Familiarity with SQL or similar query languages (a plus)
* Confidence turning data into clear insights through visuals and storytelling
* Strong research skills and comfort working with ambiguous or incomplete data
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Even better if you have experience in:
* Automotive, mobility, digital marketplaces or technology‑led businesses
* Supporting strategic or commercial decision‑making
