Position Details
Calvin Christian Middle School is looking to employ an energetic and passionate Cross Country Coach who loves Jesus Christ and is committed to sharing that love through coaching our young men and women. The coach will be responsible for developing team goals that support the mission and core values of GCCS. The coach’s responsibilities include evaluating students’ performance; building team and individual practice plans, communicating with players, parents and administration; and leading the program to promote good sportsmanship. Some Coach Responsibilities:
Building positive relationships with players, staff, parents, school staff and the community
Be an appropriate role model for coaches, students, and parents
Mentor players in their faith journey
Assessing students’ running ability to determine areas in need of improvement.
Assisting students in developing and improving their skills as runners and as teammates.
Developing appropriate training programs for student-athletes, based on their age, objectives, and individual abilities.
Develop a regular practice schedule and organize practice activities to provide both individual and team development
Strictly adhering to Calvin Christian school’s policies
