At Co-op Academy Priesthorpe, we are looking for someone with a passion for teaching, combined with a flair for all things numerical. Could you inspire our students and help them achieve the best possible outcomes?
As a Teacher of Maths, you will help to implement and deliver an exciting, knowledge-rich curriculum that is thoughtfully sequenced and is informed by expert subject knowledge and the latest educational research.
Our learning experiences, founded upon an absolute commitment to inclusion, were recognised in our recent Ofsted inspection report, where we were judged to be Good with Outstanding features. The first line of the report captures what really matters to us; “Pupils at Co-op Academy Priesthorpe are proud to be members of an inclusive community”.
At the top of your game, you’ll have excellent behaviours, strong organisational skills, the ability to collaborate effectively, and be able to work constructively as part of a team. How and why you do things matters greatly to us, as does your ability to use your initiative, work independently, and be resilient.
You’ll do all this while capturing the spirit of our vision and values and role-modelling exceptional professional behaviours.
Why us?
Co-op Academy Priesthorpe is situated in Pudsey, just 15 minutes from Leeds and Bradford city centres, with places for 1250 students and 140 staff. The Academy has a very special ethos, which visitors continue to comment on. Equity and equality are key drivers for us, ensuring all students have the opportunity to excel within a highly inclusive and supportive community.
All our values are based upon the values of the Co-op Group, which inform our behaviours.
Self-help: We do not expect to be spoon-fed – we will try to do things for ourselves in the right way and at the right time.
Self-responsibility: Everyone should act responsibly around the academy and in the local community. We take responsibility for our own learning; we aim to become independent learners.
Equality: We are proud of our multicultural academy, with students from all over the world. It is important to treat each other with respect and accept differences. Everyone should have equal chances to succeed.
Equity: We look for the best in each other. Reward others fairly to encourage all achievements.
Democracy: We contribute ideas to make the academy a success.
Solidarity: We achieve more by working together, rather than as individuals.
