We are a traditional but progressive firm based in Staines-upon-Thames. Our clients comprise mainly local families and small businesses and we have been serving their legal requirements for over 110 years.We see this as a partner designate appointment and so are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Solicitor to join our small team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding across related areas of law and have a proven track record of successfully handling a wide range of litigation matters.As a key member of the department, you will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice managing litigation cases and representing clients in court.*Responsibilities*1. Conduct legal research and analysis to support clients in litigation matters.2. Manage a diverse caseload, including but not limited to contractual disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, business disputes and contentious probate and Inheritance Act claims.3. Draft, review and negotiate legal documents including pleadings and settlement agreements.4. Provide strategic guidance to clients on potential risks and litigation strategies.5. Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitration and mediations.6. Attract and retain new clients.7. Collaborate with other teams within the firm and external counsel to ensure effective case management.8. Stay abreast of legal developments and industry trends to provide proactive advice.*Qualifications*1. A qualified solicitor with at least 7 years of experience across a wide range of litigation matters.2. A strong academic background with a post qualification focus solely on litigation cases.3. Proven experience handling difficult litigation matters without supervision.4. Excellent legal research, writing and analytical skills.5. Effective communication and negotiation abilities.6. Sound knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.7. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.*Personal Attributes*1. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.2.
