Riverbank School are looking to appoint a number of dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative Teaching Assistants to join this vibrant special school at an exciting time in its development. We have a warm and nurturing school culture which helps to develop pupils social skills successfully. We are looking for an individual who can offer excellent organisational and interpersonal skills with a proven track record demonstrating experience of taking a senior administrative role. This role requires leadership, drive, commitment, enthusiasm and offers personal opportunity and a happy thriving atmosphere in which to work. The successful candidate will possess the ability to multitask, able to prioritise, whilst having excellent professional and social skills, and be able to develop nurturing relationships with all stakeholders.

As part of the Western Learning Federation, Riverbank School offers a bespoke professional learning offer for all Teaching Assistants. This ensures that staff have the right skills set to provide the best possible experiences for our pupils and staff have the right skills to provide the best possible care and support for pupils with additional needs.

Riverbank School supports pupils aged 3-11 with a variety of additional learning needs including speech, communication and language difficulties, autistic spectrum condition, severe learning difficulties and physical and medical needs. Riverbank school is a caring and nurturing community that provides valuable care support and guidance for its pupils. Staff place pupils wellbeing at the heart of all aspects of their work to ensure we always "learning together to be the best we can".

Riverbank School, Ty Gwyn School and Woodlands School are part of the Western Learning Federation and as it is the only special school federation in Wales. We are a truly unique organisation where our schools support pupils aged 3-19 with Autism and/or profound and complex needs.

The Western Learning Federation promotes all schools as ‘Schools as Learning Organisations’. The foundations are built on a shared vision of ‘learning together to grow and achieve’. There is a culture and ethos of enquiry, innovation and exploration, with a focus on the collation and exchanging of learning knowledge.
