About the Client:
Our client is a younggentleman (15 years of age) with Cerebral Palsy, who will be recoveringfrom invasive spinal surgery. His recovery, will be for a period ofapproximately 6 weeks, providing everything going as planned. We need someonewho understands the possible challenges and setbacks of post-surgery recoveryand you will need to be warm, kind, and communicative.
Main duties of the job
* Supporting a young gentleman with his recovery from spinal surgery
* Monitoring his movement and pain management, to ensure he is comfortable, and pain is controlled
* Work with the family, and the Airmid MDT to provide continuity and stability to this young person.

Job responsibilities
* Experience with post-surgery recovery
* Previous experience working within Paediatrics
* Calm, patient, and respectful of quiet time as well as sociable moments
* Able to think on your feet and adapt to different moods and situations
* Confident & effective communicator whos happy to work with Airmid s MDT and the family.
* Right to work and live in the UK (UK Citizen or Indefinite Leave to Remain)
* NMC Registration
* Basic Life Support & Moving and Handling (practical)
* Able to evidence a clean DBS
* Provide satisfactory professional references

Experience
* Applicants must-
* Be reliable, caring, and compassionate.
* Be looking to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals receiving care.
* Have a minimum of 6 months experience working in a frontline NHS role involving children, or previous experience working in a Complex Care post or Children's Home/ residential setting.
