Transformation Support Manager

NHS England funds the Internal Medicine Strategic Network (IMSN). We are in the early stages of building a skilled, multidisciplinary team to lead transformation across specialised services. This is a formative phase that offers the opportunity to help shape how the Strategic Network operates and delivers impact across Cardiac, Renal, and Vascular Operational Delivery Networks.
Main duties of the job
As a Transformation Support Manager, you will enable the design and delivery of improvement projects across Cardiac, Renal and Vascular pathways. Partnering with ODN Managers and clinical leaders, you will apply structured methodologies to turn strategy into measurable outcomes, ensuring projects are governed, evidenced and sustainable.

This role is eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route. Experience/ Qualifications
* Educated to masters level or equivalent experience in a role where quality improvement is key
* Qualification in Service or Quality Improvement techniques or relevant experience
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
* Project management training
* Proven experience in project management, including planning, execution, and delivery of projects.
* Experience in stakeholder engagement, including working with clinical and non‑clinical staff, patients, and external partners.
* Demonstrated ability to analyse data and produce comprehensive reports to inform decision‑making.
* Experience in training, coaching, and supporting staff in improvement projects and change management.
* Familiarity with national guidelines and standards for healthcare projects.
* Facilitation training.
* Experience of working as part of a project team to deliver new models of care.
* Experience of working across multiple organisations to deliver change.
* Experience of coaching staff to deliver projects or changes.
Skills
* High level of emotional resilience to manage a demanding workload and handle sensitive issues.
* Ability to manage stress effectively, especially in high‑pressure situations.

Technical & Analytical
* Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to inform decision‑making and project improvements.
* Strong IT skills, including the use of project management software and data management tools.
* Experience in benchmarking and auditing services to identify areas for improvement.
* Knowledge of financial management, including budget planning, forecasting, and reporting.

* Ability to work autonomously, liaise and coordinate the Management Team on a day‑to‑day basis and to take appropriate action as necessary.
* Identify and adhere to best practice.
