Key Tasks / Accountabilities
* Line manage the Architectural Technician team, assisting the Principal Development Manager on major works projects from inception through to completion, including determining priorities and workloads.
* Produce high‑quality concept and technical drawings in AutoCAD and Revit suitable for planning, tendering and construction across new build, refurbishment and groundworks projects.
* Manage change‑management procedures within the Club to allow continuous evolution of specifications.
* Oversee a library of standard details, ensuring they remain up‑to‑date.
* Support Development Managers on projects, including obtaining Building Regulation approval by preparing drawings and supplying technical information.
* Produce concept plans to allow review of future projects.
* Produce planning drawings in liaison with the Planning and Development Managers; submit and manage planning applications as necessary.
* Engage with external suppliers and consultants as directed by Development Managers.
* Review current construction specifications to ensure continued compliance with regulations and meet internal stakeholder expectations.
* Update as‑built drawings as required to maintain an up‑to‑date library across the Club estate.
* Undertake site visits as necessary.
* Provide AutoCAD drafting assistance to other departments throughout the Club as directed by the PDM.
Essential Skills & Experience Required
* Educated to HND or higher in a building‑related qualification.
* Strong track record as a UK‑based Architectural Technician.
* Highly competent AutoCAD operator with excellent working knowledge of Building Regulations and relevant building legislation (e.g., British Standards).
* Working knowledge of Revit advantageous.
* Ability to produce high‑quality technical construction drawings.
* Knowledge of planning and ability to manage planning applications.
* Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
* Full‑team player with effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Good organisational skills with a methodical approach and ability to manage own workload.
* Flexible working: mix of office, home and on‑site; prepared to undertake UK travel and overnight stays as required.
