The Teacher for the Marketing programme will be responsible for both course development and delivery, creating engaging content aligned with course aims and delivering high-quality teaching throughout the programme.
The course introduces students to key areas of marketing, including market research, consumer behaviour, marketing communications, and brand management. Through real-world case studies and practical activities, students will explore the development and analysis of marketing campaigns. The programme will also examine contemporary trends such as digital marketing, social media, AI, and VR/AR, alongside ethical and sustainable marketing practices.
The ideal candidate will inspire students through real-world application, encourage strategic thinking, and support the development of practical marketing skills. Lessons should challenge students to think critically, actively participate, and apply theoretical concepts to practical marketing scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare a timetable and lesson content using the provided course brief, ensuring content meets the diverse needs of students.
* Deliver dynamic and interactive lessons that engage students in exploring marketing fundamentals and advanced topics.
* Use subject expertise to ensure student progress, providing tailored feedback and adapting tasks as necessary.
* Lead practical activities, simulations, and case study analysis to connect theory with real-world business and marketing challenges.
* Mark assignments, offer detailed feedback, and complete student reports reflecting individual progress.
* Complete administrative duties, including maintaining attendance registers and attending staff meetings.
* Collaborate with the wider teaching staff to maintain a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
Additional course development responsibilities
* Attend a 1-1 training meeting with the Academic Operations Manager.
* Develop course content and teaching materials (PPTs and lesson plans) in line with the course brief.
* Produce and deliver the following in line with agreed pre-summer timelines:
o Course timetable.
o Written and project assignment briefs and mark schemes.
o Academic equipment list.
o Challenge Day brief.
* Attend a feedback meeting and provide written feedback using the provided proforma.
* Deliver to Oxford Royale all teaching materials used during delivery (e.g. presentations and lesson plans).
Person Specification
* Extensive knowledge and experience in marketing, with awareness of current trends and practices.
* Curriculum development experience, including planning course structures and developing teaching materials.
* Experience teaching marketing or related subjects to students aged 12-18, or in a Higher Education context.
* Passion for inspiring students and developing their understanding of marketing.
* Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and adapt teaching styles to suit various learning needs.
* Creative and confident teaching approach, encouraging hands‑on problem-solving and innovation.
* Fluency in English and strong organisational skills.
Position Details
* Programmes are two weeks in length, with options for 2, 4, or 6-week contracts available between July and mid-August 2026.
* Teaching takes place Monday to Friday, with lessons scheduled from 09:00 to 15:00.
* Compulsory online and in-person training will be required before starting the role.
Essential Qualifications Experience
* Undergraduate degree (or higher) in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a closely related field.
Desirable Qualifications / Experience
* PGCE or Master’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
* Professional experience in marketing, business, entrepreneurship, or finance.
