Role: Talent & Development Manager

Location: Stirling/ Hybrid

Your new role

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Leading your team to ensure employees have the right capability and skills to be able to deliver against their individual objectives and have access and a path for their development needs. This role will focus on ensuring the development we provide to our people is aligned with the needs of the business alongside leading key strategies across the business. You will also be responsible for regular reporting to demonstrate how our people development approach is aligned to and drives towards the strategic objectives.

What you’ll do:

1. Design and deliver on the learning and development strategy
2. Create succession planning toolkit and facilitate succession discussions with senior leadership teams
3. Conduct development needs analysis across the Group
4. Oversee the successful delivery of required development programmes, including Early Careers
5. Manage and Early Careers annual cycle
6. Lead Investors in People and Investors in Young People assessments across the organisation (including annual temperature checks)
7. Work across broader HR projects/activities as required
8. Introduce coaching techniques to our people leader population
9. As part of the wider HR management team, maintain good working relationships with peers and strong knowledge/understanding of wider HR initiatives and activity

What you’ll need:

10. Degree or equivalent.
11. Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, or working towards
12. Extensive knowledge and experience of all areas of employment law/people management/HR.
13. Focussed and highly motivated
14. Ability to cope under pressure
15. Full UK driving license and willingness to travel
