Vehicle Technician – Leicester
Location: Leicester (LE3)
Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm, 3pm finish on Fridays!
Salary: £38,000 - £43,000 (depending on experience)
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established, reputable independent automotive business in Leicester who are looking to add a Skilled Vehicle Technician to their growing workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified technician seeking a stable Monday–Friday role with a great team environment and modern working practices.
The Role
As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of servicing, maintenance, and repair work across a variety of vehicles. You will be joining a professional and supportive workshop where quality and efficiency are key.
* Routine servicing and maintenance
* Mechanical repairs and fault finding
* General inspections and vehicle health checks
* Working with digital systems (iPads/Techman) to log work and diagnostics
* Supporting the wider workshop team to maintain high standards
About You
We’re looking for a well-rounded technician who is reliable, motivated, and takes pride in their work.
Requirements:
* Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent)
* Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in a workshop
* Background from either main dealer or independent garage welcomed
* MOT Licence desirable (not essential)
* Comfortable using modern workshop technology / tablets
* Strong team player with the ability to work independently when required
You don’t need to be a diagnostic expert, but you should be technically minded and confident using modern systems.
