1:1 Teaching Assistant | Hounslow | September Start

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hounslow is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who presents with challenging behaviour, starting in October 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs, and who is keen to gain valuable experience in behaviour support, child development, or education. Your role will focus on helping this pupil to succeed both academically and socially, while building a trusting and supportive relationship.
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide consistent, tailored support to a boy with challenging behaviour in both lessons and structured activities
* Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and external professionals to deliver effective strategies and interventions
* Use patience, empathy and resilience to help the pupil manage their emotions and behaviour in a positive way
* Encourage the child to engage in learning and develop confidence, self-regulation and social skills
What We're Looking For:
* A caring, patient and adaptable individual with a genuine passion for supporting children
* Previous experience working with children with challenging behaviour or SEND would be highly desirable
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish boundaries
* A calm, proactive and solution-focused approach when faced with challenges
