Basic Salary:
£50,000 - £55,000

* Bonus and uncapped commission of approximately £10,000 in year one

Business Development Manager / Technical Area Sales Manager - Industrial Tapes to OEMs
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage your territory (Midlands - Nottingham - Luton), visiting new and existing clients (50/50)
2. Achieve a sales target of £1 million (current c£750,000 with existing clients)
3. Sell technical solutions and problem-solving services, not just commodities
4. Gain project specifications by supplying industrial, aerospace, and defense manufacturers with a wide range of technical industrial tapes from launch to landing
5. Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to generate content, interest, and leads
Person Specification:
Applicants should have a proven track record of selling industrial adhesive tapes into OEMs. Candidates with experience in selling other technically biased products such as chemicals, adhesives, or resins via trials and specifications to OEMs will also be considered.
Successful candidates will demonstrate tenacity in engaging decision-makers, strong communication and influencing skills, and the ability to build long-term relationships, as project lead times can be lengthy.
