FINTEC recruit is seeking a Logistics and Procurement coordinator for our marine/shipping client based in South Shields.
This is a permanent role with salary circa £29,000 plus benefits. There will be some travel with this role UK and overseas to shipyards.
As part of the team, you will support procurement and logistics functions to ensure the efficient supply of equipment, spares, and services worldwide. This includes managing purchase orders, supplier relationships, and global logistics in line with UK Public Sector Procurement Legislation and company standards.
The role requires strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, desirable experience in procurement or logistics.
Responsibilities:
1. Procurement: Prepare and manage purchase orders, and supplier quotations. Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules, ensuring compliance with policies and frameworks.
2. Logistics: Coordinate freight forwarding, imports/exports, and customs clearance of spares and equipment. Maintain bonded goods records and ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
