Part of the Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust. Swaffham Church of England Primary Academy and Nursery are looking to recruit a cleaner to join their team. The role is offered at scale B, pay point 2, £6,084 actual pa (£24,413 FTE). The position is permanent, part‑time, 10 hours per week, term time plus 4 weeks, required as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
 * Be reliable, enthusiastic, practical, flexible, and proactive.
 * Work independently, using own initiative, prioritising workloads, contributing to the needs of the children and the whole school team.
 * Communicate well with adults and children.
 * Understand the importance of hygiene and cleanliness.
 * Attend training.
 * Understand safeguarding and know how to report any concerns.
 * Undertake the physical aspects of the role including moving and handling, working at height, etc.
Qualifications
Applicants must be able to fulfil the responsibilities listed, meet safeguarding requirements, and hold suitable cleaning experience or be willing to learn.
Working Hours
Monday – Friday, 6.00am – 8.00am OR 3.30pm – 5.30pm. The exact pattern will be agreed but will fall within academy hours Monday to Friday 6.00am to 6.00pm.
