The Role: Audit Manager
Based in
Manchester, Liverpool, or Wigan
, you'll lead audits from planning to completion, manage client relationships, and mentor junior staff. Working closely with senior managers and directors, you'll ensure audits run smoothly, on time, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver audit assignments to deadline and quality standards
* Act as main client contact, handling queries and building strong relationships
* Supervise, review, and coach junior team members
* Manage budgets, monitor progress, and keep engagements efficient
* Ensure compliance with audit/accounting standards (FRS/IFRS)
* Support team culture, resolve issues, and liaise with Directors
About You
* Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA or equivalent) with 2–3+ years' PQE
* Strong audit and accounts experience with regulatory knowledge
* Client-focused, with excellent communication and relationship skills
* Confident leading teams and mentoring junior colleagues
* Analytical, organised, and proactive with problem-solving skills
* Familiarity with CaseWare/CCH a bonus
