As Site Environmental Services Manager, you will be required to deliver the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and waste management for the client, both internally and externally. This includes ensuring that the building, all associated service roads, and car parks are fully maintained and safe through a planned and reactive janitorial and waste management programme.
This demanding role reports directly to the Client and General Manager and is suited for a candidate with experience in a fast-moving operations environment who can work well under pressure. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize tasks, and manage changing situations. Flexibility in working hours is essential, as you will oversee a large team across a 24-hour operation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage the contract in line with company policies and procedures.
2. Oversee all aspects of on-site staff and non-staff budgets, ensuring adherence to guidelines, and complete budget forecasts and reconciliations.
3. Maintain high standards of housekeeping, adapt to operational needs, and suggest improvements for best practices.
4. Provide professional support in service-related matters, promoting the ABM brand.
5. Control staff rotas, payroll, and manning levels, ensuring compliance.
6. Lead and advise on managing absence and holiday records, including sickness and annual leave.
7. Manage recruitment, induction, training, and development of staff.
8. Ensure compliance with KPIs and SLAs, addressing non-compliance professionally.
9. Conduct client audits and produce reports in line with KPIs.
10. Investigate housekeeping incidents, inform key personnel, and implement learnings.
11. Ensure compliance with GDPR and related regulations.
12. Communicate effectively with the site team, including daily safety briefings.
13. Identify training needs and maintain accurate site records.
14. Ensure site supervisors manage their teams effectively.
15. Adhere to health and safety policies, manage incident reports, and complete required paperwork.
16. Conduct return-to-work interviews and manage absences.
17. Ensure duties are performed correctly and safely, maintaining equipment and chemicals per regulations.
18. Foster good relationships with all site parties and undertake additional duties as needed.
