THE ROLE
As Contract Engineering Lead, you will lead the technical and engineering support to manufacturing contractors delivering equipment to site.
Reporting to an Operational Lead within the Joint Design Office (JDO), you’ll work closely with various stakeholders, including contractors, construction teams, quality teams, project management, and design teams, ensuring seamless integration across disciplines.
Your role will be pivotal in supporting site-based engineering by technically managing the contract, helping maintain project schedules, and optimising workflow efficiency. * Steering resolution of technical issues and queries.
* Review and approval of contractor deliverables and design where necessary.
* Control and Management of the technical and engineering evolution of the contract, including design changes.
* Review of contract amendments and exemptions ahead of Project Manager approval.
* Coordinate Engineering Multi-Disciplinary Team in Front-Office (JDO) and back-offices to perform the above tasks. This includes:
- Liaising with Responsible Designer and Client teams to ensure integration of equipment with interfacing functions/systems,
- Liaising with Responsible Designer and Client management teams to communicate progress, risks, issues and planning to support contract delivery,
- Ensure equipment qualification activities are progressing according to the contract progress and site needs.
* Work with the Project Managers on resource and budget planning to ensure the requirements of the contract are met to safety, quality, time and cost.
* Reporting of KPIs to the Project Managers and the JDO leadership team.
* Help to upskill other members of the team, including other less experienced CELs.
During the first months, you can count on the KURY Team to assist you all along your projects.
