Job Title: Trainee Dispenser

The hourly rate for this role is £12.60 and up to £14.13 across selected locations within London. The hourly rate will increase after 6 months in role.

No previous experience is required, and full training will be provided.


About the opportunity

As a Trainee Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services.

While completing your Dispenser training (NVQ2), you will build relationships with patients, assist with dispensing prescriptions, and provide healthcare advice. Your role involves greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, ensuring the safe sale of medicines, and supporting patients in health decisions.

This is a store-based role within the UK. Remote applicants will not be considered, and applications from outside the UK will only be considered if relevant UK qualifications and right to work are confirmed.


Key responsibilities

1. Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
2. Dispense prescriptions safely, including ordering, labelling, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
3. Assist in managing and delivering pharmacy services with healthcare professionals.
4. Provide advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as needed.
5. Follow SOPs to support legal and safe dispensing.
6. Stay updated with store innovations and operational processes.
7. Support patients in managing their prescriptions and medicines effectively to promote adherence and reduce waste.
8. Work with new technologies to improve dispensing processes and patient safety.

You will receive regular training and development opportunities, including potential advancement as a Pharmacy Technician or store leader.


Requirements

1. Desire to learn and complete the NVQ2 Dispenser training program.
2. Current and valid UK right to work. Note: No sponsorship available for this role.


Preferred

1. Experience in community pharmacy (desirable).
