Lead Business Analyst
SC Cleared | Major Digital Transformation
We are seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst (SC Cleared) to join a major digital transformation programme within a newly established start‑up organisation.
This pivotal leadership role will set the direction for business analysis across the organisation, leading a team of Business Analysts working across HR, Finance, and Programme Management functions. You will play a key role in shaping how requirements are defined, managed, and delivered for new digital solutions in a fast‑moving and evolving environment.
Please note: This role requires active SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain SC Clearance.
The Role | As Lead Business Analyst, you will:
* Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Business Analysts across multiple business functions
* Define and own the business analysis strategy, standards, and governance, embedding best practice across the transformation programme
* Oversee all requirements definition and management activities, ensuring high‑quality, consistent outputs
* Partner with senior stakeholders to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements
* Support the organisation in developing and maturing its BA capability, tooling, and processes
* Work closely with Product Owners, Delivery Leads, Architects, and Technology teams within agile delivery environments
* Operate effectively in a start‑up context, adapting to change while maintaining delivery focus and quality
Experience:
* Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Business Analyst on large‑scale digital transformation programmes
* Demonstrated ability to lead and develop BA teams across multiple domains
* Strong hands‑on experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban)
* Deep expertise in requirements engineering, from epics to non‑functional requirements
* Comfortable delivering in fast‑paced, ambiguous, or greenfield environments
* Confident influencing senior stakeholders with clear, effective communication
* Active SC Clearance, or eligible and willing to obtain SC Clearance
