SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in Wellingborough. This role involves supporting children with a variety of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Complex Needs, PMLD, and speech impairments. Day-to-day of the role:
* Provide tailored support to students with diverse needs, ensuring they achieve their full potential in a supportive learning environment.
* Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs) that cater to the specific needs of each student.
* Assist in the development and delivery of engaging educational activities that accommodate various learning styles and needs.
* Offer emotional and behavioural support to students, helping them develop effective coping strategies and improve their social skills.
* Monitor and report on student progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating with teachers and parents to ensure consistent support.
* Facilitate communication among students with speech impairments, using appropriate techniques and tools to enhance their interaction and learning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within an SEN setting.
* Knowledge of various SEN conditions and the strategies required for supporting students effectively.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with students, staff, and parents.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
* Relevant qualifications in education, special educational needs, or related fields are highly advantageous.
