We are recruiting for an experienced Case Manager to be a positive role model for parents, children and staff and encourage development of meaningful relationships, parenting and attachments.
Key Responsibilities:
To support the Registered Manager and Deputy to deliver on the content of the Certificate of Registration and the Statement of Purpose.
To ensure that the environment is appropriate and sensitive to the needs of the families and in line with National Minimum Standards for Residential Family Centres 2013 and Health and Safety Legislation.
Work within the policies and procedures of the company and ensure all staff are aware of these and adhering to these.
To undertake any additional/alternative duties dommensurate with the role.
You will be responsible for the case management of a defined number of families advising and supporting throughout the assessment process and the safe running of the House on a shift-by-shift basis and provide direct supervision of staff team on the shift ensuring that they are all clear about their responsibilities towards the families in their care.
You will provide practical advice, support and guidance to staff and parents to ensure that they are able to provide safe and consistent care for themselves and their children and to ensure positive outcomes and experiences and ensure oversight and sign off of Incident Forms in respect of incidents occurring during the shift.
You will ensure all documentation is relevant and robust and complete weekly summary repors for identified families. Responsibility for ensuring that all meetings are planned and documented appropriately and staff are in attendance where necessary. You will liaise with other professionals ie health visitors, GPs and social workers.
ensuring compliance with Residential Family Centre National Minimum Standards, Health & Safety legislation and safeguarding legislation.
Essential for the Role:
Level 3 or above qualification in social care, early years or a related field, however, level 4 or 5 would be desirable.
Experience of working with vulnerable families
Good knowledge of parenting assessments, child development and risk management
Strong report writing, communication and organisational skills
It would be advantageous if you have experience of working in a residential family centre or supervised contact setting. This position is based on a 40 hour working week over a 7 day period, therefore your hours will be on a shift rota basis.
