Overview
We are looking for an Assistant Psychologist - Practitioner Positive Behaviour Support with a passion for supporting adults with developing mental health illnesses, learning disabilities, and autism.
Responsibilities
* As an assistant psychologist in positive behaviour support, you will provide a high standard of quality care under the supervision of a practitioner psychologist.
* You will assist in the formulation of routine care plans, involving the psychological treatment or management of the patient\'s condition.
* Attend and contribute to MDT meetings, support the delivery of teaching and training to other team members, and support the practitioner psychologists within the service on a day-to-day basis.
* Adopt a professional approach to patient/resident care at all times.
* Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, carers, multidisciplinary care teams and senior staff.
* Conform to policies and procedures of the company, with particular regard to confidentiality, financial and administrative responsibilities and prevention of healthcare-associated infection (HCAI); this includes compliance with hand hygiene, use of PPE and safe disposal of sharps where relevant.
* Maintain and support quality initiatives and contribute to service business continuity planning in case of an emergency.
* Take personal responsibility for ensuring that resources are used efficiently with minimal wastage.
What we are looking for
* BSc Psychology
* Experience working in a therapy department
* Experience of delivering training and therapeutic intervention
* Excellent communication skills
