Contracts Manager (Mechanical & Electrical)

We are looking for a Contracts Manager to manage external contractors and allocate work to CHP employees to achieve the delivery of cyclical servicing and maintenance work programmes in the areas of heating, water hygiene, asbestos surveying, electrical testing, fire safety remedial works and lift maintenance.
This role will also be responsible for the delivery and management, including repair and service quality, productivity, service delivery costs, financial return and performance, health and safety and compliance of contractors or internal teams. This includes but is not limited to responsive repairs to mechanical and electrical equipment.
What you'll be doing
* Provide contract management across planned preventative programmes across a range of compliance activities that align with manufacturers instructions and meet legislative, regulatory and industry best practice requirements.
* Take ownership and responsibility for all KPIs and other operational targets. This will include customer satisfaction, contractor performance, safety, repair quality, levels of productivity, cost of service delivery, right first time, end to end times for repairs and return on investment.
* Effectively manage all contracts and contractors to ensure that works are delivered in a high standard, professional, customer focused and efficient way.
* Promote and build effective stakeholder working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and all teams across CHP, attending meetings with service providers and customers as and when required.
* Establish and maintain the highest standard of customer care whilst coordinating safety activities.
What we are looking for
* Experience of working in a building, construction or facilities management environment.
* Excellent IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Experience of financial and budgetary control.
* Experience of contract management, including managing suppliers / third parties and supplier performance management.
* Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
* Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills.
