ROLE PURPOSE
Arrow XL is currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join our finance team in Wigan. Supporting the Head of Management Accounts and helping to train the Assistant Management Accountants, this role will offer great experience to join a highly qualified finance team with a continued focus on development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Role Specific:
* Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts to a strict deadline
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Produce and post journals
* Assist with maintaining the Fixed Asset Register
* Variance reporting
* Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
* Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
* Ad Hoc duties
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience:
* The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience working within a multimillion-pound turnover business and be ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified or part qualified.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
* Strong communication skills
* Strong time management skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities
* Strong Excel skills (e.g. SUMIF, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IndexMatch)
* Strong eye for detail and accuracy
* Able to act in a professional manner to the benefit of the company and always maintain confidentiality
