Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust are currently recruiting for Domestic Assistants based at Royal Albert Edward Infirmary. 22 hours/week Thu - Sun 10.00 - 15.30; 10 hours/week Sat-Sun 07.00 - 12.00; 10 hours/week Sat-Sun 07.00 - 12.00; 20 hours/week Mon-Fri 06.00 - 10.00; 20 hours/week Mon-Fri 16.00 - 20.00. Responsibilities
* The post holder is responsible for carrying out specific cleaning and other related duties, following set procedure and standards to provide and maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital and designated wards or departments.
* To perform domestic duties including: General cleaning; Isolation cleaning; High and low dusting; Wet and dry mopping; Clean toilets, baths and washbasins; Emptying clinical and general waste bins and placing bags in designated areas; Vacuum cleaning; Scrubbing and buffing floors with mechanical machine; Carpet shampooing; Using chemicals and cleaning equipment responsibly and within health and safety guidelines; Maintaining staff and public safety through appropriate use of warning signage whilst cleaning.
