Job Description:
Are you a qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer with commercial maintenance experience? Are you looking for a company to offer upskilling and training?
They are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer who has experience working within commercial environments carrying out all areas of electrical maintenance and minor remedial tasks in Cardiff.
Package includes:
1. Salary: GBP 41k
2. Static role
3. Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
4. No call out
5. Annual leave
6. Pension Scheme
Requirements / Qualifications:
Qualifications in any of the following are preferred but not essential; clients will consider candidates with time-served experience:
1. NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3
2. NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Technology (the main qualification that includes AM2, ECS, Gold Card, C&G 2391 Testing & Inspection) - ideal qualification
3. City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installations
4. City & Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection
5. The 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2018) - the 17th edition is slightly older but still accepted by some clients
6. PAT testing
Day to Day Duties:
1. Lighting - Change of lamps and ballasts
2. Emergency light testing
3. Power distribution
4. Electrical fault-finding
5. Small works - new sockets, new lights, new circuits
6. PAT Testing
7. Control Panel maintenance
8. Transformers
9. Star Delta Starters
