Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer ready to take on a dynamic, field-based role in the rail freight sector?
Join a team that keeps the UK’s freight wagons moving with precision, safety, and speed. As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll respond to call-outs, perform scheduled maintenance, and ensure wagons are safe, reliable, and ready for action.
Diagnose and repair faults on freight wagons
✅ Respond to emergencies including derailments and brake issues
✅ Carry out inspections and scheduled maintenance
✅ NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
&##Full UK driving licence
&##Willingness to work unsociable hours and travel
Knowledge of brake systems, couplers, and running gear
&##PTS or equivalent site access certification
Full training (12–16 weeks), tools, and PPE provided.
&##Work in a supportive team of two during on-call shifts.
