Your new role
AsManagement Accountant, you will support the Financial Controller across a broadand hands‑on remit, taking ownership of monthly managementaccounts, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis and cash flowforecasting. You will lead the month‑end close process, oversee working capitalperformance and ensure accurate financial reporting in line with UK GAAP andinternal controls.
The rolealso has a strong commercial focus, supporting weekly KPI reporting, tendersubmissions and financial modelling, while analysing cost bases to ensureappropriate labour and overhead recovery. In addition, you will contribute tooperational improvements, working capital optimisation, ERP and finance systemenhancements, and external audit processes, while providing day‑to‑dayguidance to an Assistant Accountant.
This isa varied and influential role suited to a commercially minded ManagementAccountant who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, project‑driven energy environment.
What you'll need to succeed
You will haveexperience in a similar management accounting or financial analysis role. Youwill be professionally qualified or studying towards CIMA, ACCA, ACA orequivalent.
StrongExcel skills and confidence using financial and ERP systems are essential,along with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non‑financestakeholders. Experience with Sage Cloud, Sage 200 and Power BI is preferredbut not essential. You will be comfortable managing multiple priorities,meeting deadlines and working both independently and
