Bespoke (BIAB) Design Engineer
Responsibilities
* Turn client concepts into detailed 2D/3D designs
* Liaise with Sales, Distributors and Customers to refine and deliver bespoke solutions
* Specify 12 V, 230 V, and LPG systems to current standards
* Build BOMs, estimate costs, and ensure designs are right the first time
* Produce high‑quality manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
Qualifications
* SolidWorks 3D CAD and engineering drawing expertise
* Creative thinking with a practical, hands‑on approach
* Excellent communication and customer liaison skills
* Strong attention to detail and documentation
* Understanding of assemblies, furniture design, and light electrical/gas installations
Requirements
* 5 GCSEs including English & Maths (Grade B or above)
* Proven experience in SolidWorks (to be demonstrated at interview)
* Experience in the creation of BOMs and drawings for manufacture
