Design Engineer, Hybrid, Full or Part Time
Due to continuing expansion our client, a national Engineering company are seeking a talented and innovative Design Engineer to join their dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing our current products, ensuring that all designs meet the necessary specifications and standards. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager duties to include:
1. Develop detailed schematics and design documentation for new products and systems.
2. Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in existing designs and implement effective solutions.
3. Utilise Simulink for system modelling and simulation to validate design concepts.
4. Create 2D and 3D models using CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, to support product development.
5. Employ MATLAB for data analysis and algorithm development related to design projects.
6. Design systems with a focus on GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure manufacturability.
