Help Young People Re-Engage, Grow, and Succeed We are recruiting a passionate Specialist Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs in a forward-thinking specialist learning centre in Weymouth. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, working with students aged 11 to 17 who benefit from tailored, consistent support. This specialist provision is known for its nurturing, relationship-led approach and its commitment to helping young people rediscover confidence in learning. With a strong focus on wellbeing, structure, and personal development, the centre offers a supportive environment where both students and staff can thrive. Students are supported with needs including: Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Behavioural and attachment needs and Anxiety and emotional regulation difficulties The Role Support learning on a 1:1 and small group basis Help students manage behaviour and emotions positively Encourage engagement, resilience, and independence Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams What We’re Looking For Minimum 6 months childcare experience, particularly supporting children or young people with SEN Confidence supporting SEMH and challenging behaviour Calm, patient, and resilient personality A full UK driving licence is essential due to the location of the setting Why Work with Teaching Personnel?
