Description About the Role: Reporting to the GM of Product & Technology, you will work with a team of developers and devops engineers to design, develop, and maintain our network and related infrastructure. This role sits within our CPaaS division encompassing the brands FoneDynamics, 1300Australia and EasyInbound, you will work across our core Voice, SMS and Integration platform as a service. - location flexible for the right fit. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Collaborate on the design and architecture of new products and features. Lead the development lifecycle in partnership with product teams and leadership. Oversee delivery of bug fixes, enhancements, and technical requests. Contribute hands-on coding for new product initiatives when needed. Manage fault triage and resolution to ensure timely incident response. Act as a key contributor to Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning and execution. Participate in and coordinate the on-call support roster. Administer and monitor Google Cloud and physical data center environments for performance, cost, and access. Champion DevOps practices including containerization, orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and configuration management. Own system reliability, latency, and incident response processes. Lead infrastructure-as-code deployments using tools like Terraform and OpenTofu. Define and evolve Agile/Scrum development processes tailored to team needs. Promote secure coding, testing, peer reviews, and continuous improvement. Recruit, mentor, and retain top engineering and DevOps talent. Conduct performance reviews and support career development. Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture. Respond to data retention and lawful interception requests in line with compliance standards. Essential Experience: No single qualification is a hard requirement, what is more important is the right mindset and culture fit, there are however some basic qualifications and experience which can be used as a guide: A degree in IT, telecommunications, or equivalent practical experience and certifications. Certifications in Agile methodologies, Scrum Master, or project management frameworks. Experience working with telecommunications or data communication networks. Background in software development, DevOps, UI/UX design, or product management. Proven leadership experience in roles such as Engineering Manager, DevOps Manager, or Software Development Manager. Familiarity with Agile practices including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and roadmap development.
