We are looking for a dedicated individual to join Stantec as a Principal Designer and CDM Advisor. This role offers a chance to significantly contribute to the UK's energy transition.
You will join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team working on cutting-edge hydropower and pumped storage hydro solutions such as Coire Glas in Scotland, Koysha in Ethiopia, and Dinorwig in Wales, as well as other energy projects across waste-to-energy, nuclear, hydrogen generation, and transmission and distribution.
Read more about our work at: Stantec Hydropower & Dams. As a Principal Designer and CDM Advisor, responsibilities include roles under CDM 2015, and supporting clients as a CDM Advisor when necessary. This role requires a deep understanding of design and construction processes and effective communication skills. Familiarity with legal requirements of CDM and relevant legislation is essential.
About You
Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant construction, health and safety, or engineering discipline. Chartered status and additional qualifications like NEBOSH are preferred.
Experience: Proven consultancy experience, with the ability to mentor junior team members and collaborate effectively across teams.
Skills: Strong understanding of innovative solutions, industry best practices, project management from concept to completion, and comprehensive knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015.
