Teacher of the Deaf - Temporary for 12 months to cover maternity leave.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Sheffield Service for Deaf/Hearing and Vision Support Service as a temporary Teacher of the Deaf.
The successful candidate will work in a variety of settings in the Sheffield area and this may include working on a peripatetic basis and/or in an integrated resource provision for d/Deaf students.
The post is for 5 days per week working, as part of the larger Service team. The Service comprises a peripatetic team and 5 integrated resources in mainstream primary and secondary schools.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and committed and able to work as part of a team. You will have Level 1 BSL, with Level 2 BSL desirable.
A teaching qualification is essential and Qualified Teacher of the Deaf status is desirable, but training may be given.
The Deaf/hearing and Vision Support Service forms part of Sheffield City Council 0-25 SEND Service. We offer a wide range of provision and communication approaches matched to the needs of individual children.
