We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sales Estimator to join our dynamic sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals for potential clients, supporting the sales process from initial enquiry through to project planning. Duties
* Analyse client specifications and requirements to develop comprehensive cost estimates for products or services
* Collaborate with the sales team, project managers, and technical staff to ensure accurate pricing and feasibility assessments
* Prepare detailed quotations, proposals, and tender documents in line with company standards and client expectations
* Conduct site visits if necessary to gather information and assess project scope
* Maintain organised records of estimates, proposals, and client communications for future reference
* Assist in negotiating prices and terms with clients whilst ensuring profitability targets are met
* Support the sales team in follow-up activities to secure new business opportunities
* Occasional new business development activities including outreach to new potential clients
Skills
* Proven experience in sales estimation, quantity surveying, or a similar role within the relevant industry
* Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
* Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
* Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment whilst also demonstrating initiative independently
* Previous experience and knowledge of industry standards, materials, and construction or manufacturing processes
* A recognised qualification in construction management, engineering, or related fields is advantageous
