Purpose and Scope of the Role:
Tetra Tech is seeking a Health Surveillance Reporting Nurse to join its Occupational Health team, working remotely within a supportive group of reporting nurses, Clinical Managers and Occupational Physicians. You will produce health surveillance and fitness for work reports for nationwide clients, interpreting audiometry, spirometry, skin, HAVS, driver and safety critical assessments, and translating findings into clear, actionable reports. You will also record and analyse data within the eOPAS system, support trend reporting and help maintain a high‑quality, cost‑effective service.
Your Impact in this Position:
In the short term, you will become a trusted reporting specialist delivering accurate, timely output. Over time, you will help strengthen client insight through better trend analysis and consistent reporting standards. Longer term, this role offers development within a growing Occupational Health function, with access to learning, progression and wider project opportunities across Tetra Tech.
* Clinical Reporting Expertise – Confidently interpret health surveillance and fitness for work outcomes, producing clear reports that support safe, informed decisions
* Attention to Detail and Governance – Maintain exceptional record keeping, confidentiality and compliance with NMC standards and relevant legislation.
* Communication and Client Focus – Write concise, professional reports and communicate effectively with clinical colleagues and clients.
* Independent Working – Manage workload autonomously, balancing quality, pace and service delivery in line with client contracts.
* Digital Competence – Use MS Office and clinical systems effectively; experience of eOPAS or OPAS is advantageous.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
You must be a registered nurse on the NMC Register with an Occupational Health qualification and at least 5 years’ experience in health surveillance and fitness for work interpretation. Strong IT skills are essential. Experience in PowerPoint, data reporting and medical assessments is desirable.
Work Patterns and Location:
This is a home-based role and you will work remotely with minimal office attendance, supported by a collaborative clinical team. Hybrid or flexible working can be discussed to suit service needs and personal circumstances.
