Key Responsibilities
* Upgrade outdated automation equipment to enhance operational efficiency.
* Develop automation specifications and functional analyses for industrial projects.
* Manage contractors and engineers during project execution.
* Provide automation expertise to support the engineering team.
* Monitor and maintain site automation systems.
* Participate in on-call duties on a rotational basis.
The Person/Qualifications
* Subject matter expertise in automation systems.
* Proficient in working with Schneider or Rockwell equipment.
* Experienced in managing automation projects.
* Knowledge of programming SCADA systems, ideally WONDERWARE.
* Supervisory experience in leading teams or contractors.
* Familiarity with the food industry is advantageous.
* Strong fault-finding and root cause analysis skills.
* Understanding of Health & Safety and relevant legislation.
* Confident in autonomous decision-making and effective team collaboration.
* Self-motivated, results-driven, and open to learning new technologies.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Proficient in numeracy, literacy, and logical problem-solving.
