Well established contractor with a strong history in the sector, with offices across the East and Midlands and projects throughout the UK. They operate across a number of sectors including new build, fit out, maintenance and building services.
They pride themselves on developing their staff to grow within the business, which is demonstrated by the tenure amongst the organisation.

Your new role

Due to continued success and growth, they are now looking for a Project Manager. As Project Manager you will work across various sizedmercial and retail projects of a construction and refurbishment nature.
The primary role of the Project Manager will be to ensure that projects are run efficiently and profitably, ensuring fullpliance to Health and Safety legislation and contract conditions. The most critical conditions being that all work ispleted to a high standard, in a safe working manner, within the programme and to the total satisfaction of our client.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Day to day responsibility of the running of projects

2. Monitoring Health & Safety practices and CDM Regulations on site.

3. Attendance of regular site meetings with clients and other professionals.

4. Preparation of reports, programmes, progress and profitability reports.

5. Pricing and agreeing instructions with the client or their agents.

6. Contribute to formulating valuations and final accounts.

7. Assisting with the preparation of tenders.

8. Procure, negotiate terms and monitor the performance of sub-contractors and suppliers.

9. Identify and implement improvements to any aspect of the service that they provide.

10. Assist in the preparation of estimates/tenders.

11. Procurement of new clients.

12. Ensure that acceptable levels of customer care are provided at all times.

13. Produce relevant monthly reports for the Director, cost and valueparisons, turnover forecasts etc. ensuring information isplete and accurate.

14. Contribute to and attend financial and progress meetings.

15. Provide support to the site team in order to optimise the use of contract resources.

16. Maintaining deadlines in line with requirements.

17. Provide cover for other associated staff during times of absence

18. Regular use of our bespokeputer system and other software packages such as Word, Excel and Project.


What you'll need to succeed

19. Proven and recent experience as a Project Manager or a Site Manager ready to take the next step

20. SMSTS

21. Construction related qualifications HNC/HND or Trade related qualification
