Job Purpose
To characterize our biotherapeutic recombinant T-cell receptor molecules using protein characterization and mass spectrometry methods, and to contribute to the development of characterization methods for our biopharmaceutical products, including peptide mapping (LC-MS/MS) and intact mass spectrometry analysis.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support drug substance and drug product impurity characterization and identification.
2. Perform protein sequence and post-translational modification identification, including glycosylation analysis.
3. Support process development by analyzing process intermediates.
4. Develop characterization methods for ImmTAX and other products.
5. Contribute to writing study protocols and reports.
6. Plan experiments, meet deadlines, and advise on risks and deviations.
7. Expand scientific knowledge through learning and mentoring.
8. Maintain accurate laboratory records and use equipment effectively.
9. Communicate research findings to colleagues and management.
10. Adhere to safe working practices according to EHS policies.
Person Specification
Essential Experience & Knowledge
* Background in recombinant protein or antibody analytical development or QC with ≥2 years industry experience.
* Experience in HPLC methods development for recombinant proteins or antibodies.
* Experience in LC-MS method development.
* Proficiency in laboratory procedures, buffer and reagent design, troubleshooting, and electrophoretic chromatographic mass spectrometry.
* Understanding of assay qualification/validation and GMP principles.
Desirable
* Knowledge of stability studies and glycosylation analysis.
* Experience in method transfer and external collaborations.
* Conference presentations and analytical support for clinical trial materials.
Education & Qualifications
* Essential: BSc or MSc in biochemistry, biotechnology, or related field.
* Desirable: PhD in a related discipline.
