Attendance & Data Officer
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Permanent, Full Time – 37 hours per week, initially term time only (39 weeks per year). The role will transition to whole year as the school expands.
Salary: Grade 5 - £25,183 – £26,409 per annum pro rata. Actual Salary: £21,757 - £22,816 per annum.
John Taylor MAT is seeking an experienced, flexible, and adaptable professional to join its newest, all-through school in Rugeley. This new school will serve local communities, providing a high standard of education from early years through sixth form.
We offer an opportunity to join this new school opening with Year 7 in September 2025. The role involves supporting attendance and managing data records. The successful candidate will be well-organized, capable of coordinating processes, ensuring accurate pupil data recording, producing reports, and liaising with senior staff on the school timetable. You will also support pupils and families, contributing to initiatives that promote high attendance levels.
Ideal candidates will have:
1. Experience in a similar role with the ability to process, understand, and interpret data
2. Strong coordination skills to manage work processes and consolidate information
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders
4. Planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing demands
5. An understanding of barriers to school attendance and how to address them
6. A proactive attitude and willingness to support the evolving needs of the school and staff
