Overview
We are currently recruiting for a compassionate, resilient Complex Care / Support Worker to provide 2:1 support for a young woman in her early 20s with complex mental health needs. This is a genuinely rewarding role where you’ll help her live as independently and safely as possible while engaging in positive, everyday activities.

* £12.82 per hour (weekdays)
* £13.03 per hour (weekends) (rate increase April 2026 TBC)

Responsibilities
* You will be supporting within both the home and community environment, focusing on:
* Encouraging engagement in positive activities and appointments
* Supporting daily routines and independent living skills
* Promoting safety, structure, and wellbeing
* Using de-escalation and distraction techniques during periods of distress
* Building a consistent, trusting relationship
This is a 2:1 support package with 12-hour shifts (12pm–12am).
Requirements
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* Previous experience in mental health / complex care / support work
* Confident supporting individuals with:
* Challenging behaviours
* De-escalation techniques
* Awareness of self-harm and associated risks (desirable, not essential)
* Calm, patient, and emotionally resilient
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Reliable, flexible, and able to work alternate weekends
* A genuine passion for supporting individuals with complex needs
