Reporting to the Team Lead, you will be responsible for: Taking full ownership of year-end statutory accounts production for multiple trading entities Managing monthly statutory account runs, including balance sheet reconciliations and reviewing management accounts Overseeing VAT returns and tax packs in partnership with the team Running the month-end process and producing management reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, KPI commentary) with variance analysis Driving efficiency in the month-end close, aiming to reduce timelines and improve processes Acting as the lead contact for external auditors at year-end, handling adjustments and queries Preparing and reviewing month-end journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and cut-off adjustments Supporting system implementation and transition projects within the finance function Assisting with the integration and consolidation of newly acquired businesses What you will need: Previous experience in a similar finance role, such as Financial Accountant / Financial Reporting Accountant / Accountant / Statutory Accountant Strong statutory accounts, tax, and year-end audit experience Part-qualified accountant (towards the end of your studies) or equivalent experience Inquisitive, organised, and proactive approach – a genuine self-starter who’s ready to get stuck in Experience with Sage X3, Oracle, or Netsuite (or similar systems) is highly desirable Excellent Excel skills and a keen eye for process improvement What you will get: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, plus your birthday off, with option to buy/sell Enhanced pension 4x salary life assurance Quarterly and annual employee rewards All-expenses-paid company events Volunteering day Hybrid working – 1 day per week from home In-house training academy 24/7 access to mental health support Discounted gym membership Free breakfast and fresh fruit Study support If you would like to find out more about this role, please apply with your CV or LinkedIn PDF.
