About the Role
We are seeking a Dietitian to work within our acute Dietetic Department at the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is a band 6, 1.0 WTE permanent post located at the Aintree site, offering a range of complex nutrition services to patients across North Liverpool.
Responsibilities
* Provide evidence‑based nutritional support to patients with complex needs, including oncology and gastrointestinal conditions, in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
* Work autonomously and manage a specialist caseload, delivering patient‑centred care, education and information to patients, carers and health‑care professionals.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the hospital and wider dietetic services, ensuring continuity of care.
* Supervise junior dietitians, student dietitians and graduate dietitians, contributing to the training and development of the team.
* Contribute to service development, innovation and audit initiatives, supporting the department’s continuous improvement.
* Maintain personal development goals, and participate in regular clinical supervision and peer support.
Qualifications & Experience
* Band 5 Dietitian or currently working at a Band 6 level.
* Experience in an acute dietetic setting with a focus on complex nutritional needs.
* Strong communication and team‑working skills, with the ability to work independently.
* Demonstrated ability to support training and supervision of junior staff.
