We specialise in Roadshows, Exhibitions, Hospitality, AV & Tech Integration, Bespoke Fabrication, and Corporate Events - bringing ambitious ideas to life for clients across sectors including (but not limited to) Automotive, Agriculture, Construction, Consumer Electronics, Food & Drink, and Healthcare.
We’re seeking a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for driving new business growth, building strategic relationships, and expanding Versatile’s presence across our core and emerging sectors. This is a dynamic, outward-facing role where you’ll work closely with our Commercial Team to identify opportunities, develop creative solutions, and convert prospects into long-term partnerships.
JOB PURPOSE & SCOPE
* Driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities.
* Proactively engaging with Event Organisers, Brand Managers, Event Directors, Event Agencies, Marketing Leads, and Procurement Teams within target sectors and beyond.
* Positioning Versatile as the go-to partner for large-scale event activations and mobile brand experiences.
* Responsible for consistent lead generation and conversion.
* Representing Versatile at industry trade shows, Client meetings, exhibitions, and networking events to drive brand visibility and create connections.
* Producing compelling pitches, proposals, tender submissions and presentations that showcase our creative and technical capabilities and secure high-value projects.
* Leveraging Versatile’s unique fleet of mobile units, bespoke fabrication expertise, and creative services to deliver end-to-end event solutions.
* To feedback on any identified product gaps in the market which are identified during the activity.
GENERAL
* Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, from lead generation to contract signature.
* Collaborate with the Marketing team on campaigns, e-shots, and LinkedIn outreach to build awareness and generate inbound enquiries.
* Track, measure, and report on performance against agreed KPIs and revenue targets.
* Build strong, lasting relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders.
* To have a strong working knowledge of all products, production and operational abilities.
* To keep a record of all Client/Partner conversations to be used internally for collating required information in order to secure new business.
* Act as a trusted advisor, providing creative and strategic input to support client objectives.
* Ensure seamless handover to Project Management and Operations teams to deliver on promises made during the sales process.
* Seek opportunities for cross-selling and upselling Versatile’s services across events, fabrication, and fleet.
* Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activity, and client challenges across Versatile’s core sectors.
* Identify emerging opportunities for innovation, partnerships, and strategic collaborations.
* Represent Versatile at conferences, exhibitions, networking events, and industry forums to maintain visibility and influence.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in business development and sales ideally within events, experiential marketing, or related sectors.
* A track record of securing high-value projects and building long-term client relationships.
* Excellent presentation, pitching, and proposal-writing skills.
* A strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify profitable opportunities and deliver against revenue targets.
* Confident networking and representing the business at industry events.
* Collaborative, creative, and solutions-focused, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
