An outstanding secondary school in Bristol is seeking a highly organised and data-savvy SIMS Assistant to join its administrative leadership team as soon as possible. This role is central to the school’s operations, focusing on the meticulous maintenance of student records and the production of vital reports to support the Senior Leadership Team in driving school improvement. Key Responsibilities Maintaining student and staff data on the SIMS MIS system, ensuring absolute accuracy and GDPR compliance Assisting with the daily processing and analysis of student attendance, punctuality, and behaviour data Producing complex progress and attainment reports for departments, governors, and parents Managing the administration of the school’s annual reporting and assessment cycle Leading on the preparation and submission of the School Census and other statutory data returns Supporting the Data Manager with the maintenance of the school timetable and class lists Providing general administrative support to the school office and SLT during peak periods The Ideal Candidate Will Have Previous experience using SIMS within a school environment is essential for this ASAP start Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to use VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data manipulation A high level of attention to detail and a "right-first-time" approach to complex datasets Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict statutory deadlines A professional, discreet, and reliable approach to handling sensitive student and staff information Salary Competitive (Pro-rata, dependent on experience) Application To apply for this SIMS Assistant position in Bristol, please submit your CV.
