Overview
This permanent full‑time position is based within the Occupational Therapy Department at the Vale of Leven Hospital and the Dumbarton Joint Hospital. The role supports older peoples mental health services in West Dunbartonshire.
Shift Pattern
Monday – Thursday 9:05 pm to 5 pm, Friday 9:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
Responsibilities
* Conduct occupational therapy assessments and deliver a range of therapeutic, occupation‑focused interventions.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment, adapt interventions accordingly and work closely with nursing, psychology and support worker staff.
* Supervise occupational therapy support staff and provide regular supervision.
* Communicate effectively with other disciplines, relatives, carers and partner organisations.
Qualifications & Skills
* Registered Occupational Therapist (BSc/PGDip/PGCert) with a strong clinical foundation.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
* Evidence‑based practice and commitment to continuous professional development.
