About the Role
We're looking for a motivated and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to become a key part of our growing team. The role offers flexibility, with full-time or part-time hours available, including Saturday working, and importantly no out-of-hours requirements -supporting a genuine work-life balance in the beautiful Peak District.
You'll enjoy clinical autonomy, the opportunity to work up cases properly, and the support of experienced Practice Owners who value high standards of care and colleague wellbeing.
About the Practice
Our brand-new practice, opening in March 2026, is located within one of our modern Pets at Home stores and has been thoughtfully designed with both clinical excellence and team wellbeing in mind.
You'll be working in a light, spacious, air-conditioned environment, fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to support high-quality veterinary care.
The practice is owned and led by two highly experienced professionals:
* Ibrahim, a Veterinary Surgeon who graduated in 2001
* Leanne, with over 25 years' nursing experience
Their combined clinical and leadership experience creates a supportive, well-led environment where your ideas and development will be genuinely valued.
We're conveniently based on Wren Nest Retail Park, offering free on-site parking and surrounded by everyday conveniences including Costa, Argos, Pure Gym, and Next .

About You
We're looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon who's excited by the idea of helping a new practice grow. Ideally, you'll be:
* RCVS-registered with experience in small animal practice
* Confident in routine medical and surgical procedures
* A strong communicator with clients and colleagues
* Comfortable working as part of a team, with sole charge when required
* Keen to develop professionally, with an interest area you'd like to grow-certificate support is actively encouraged
